Poster: Trevor Paglen

Trevor Paglen’s journey started when he was studying geography in college. While studying satellite photos to observe how the location of Prisons had changed from highly visible places like Alcatraz to more remote locations out of the public view, he came across an area in the Nevada desert whose maps had “Frames edited from original negative” printed on them. This paradoxical idea of hiding in plain site combined with the equally contradictory idea that by redacting information you actually give a clue that something is there is where this poster came from.
